Traditional vs. Modern Filipino Women

Foreigners, particularly males, usually find it hard to interact with Filipino women sometimes because they do not know how to identify whether one is still very conservative and traditional or already very modern and liberated, since some women are also sort of confused.

Some foreigners though would prefer those who are considered modern and very open-minded women. Westerners are usually categorized as very liberal and self-assured so they do not want those who would be a complete opposite of what they believe in and would oppose to everything that they would say or do. This set-up would just make matters worse and would also equate to a relationship that has a lot of ups and downs.

Some foreigners are also easily turned off if the woman they are dating is very submissive and meek. They find these kind of women very boring and uninteresting. They would feel like they are just wasting their time.

But there are also some men from other countries who have a strong preference for those very conservative and traditional Filipino women. For them, these traits are very endearing and one-of-a-kind. They already have unconventional and strong-minded women in their own countries and the very reason they are looking for love in other places is that they do not think of these women as the marrying type.

Traditional and conservative women are genuine and pure. They are not superficial and what they say and what they do are just what they really feel inside. They do not just go with the flow. They do not find the need to jump on the bandwagon just to fit in. They understand change, they appreciate developments and progress but all of these do not mean that they have to give up their sense of self.

Some modern Filipino women change everything about them and copy those women they see on TV and in magazines and throw everything away and they would do everything to look like those gorgeous and very curvy Western women. Technically, there is nothing bad about this. It is their way, their mind and their life.

But throwing everything away just to be someone whom you are not and turn your back against culture, tradition, history, family and all the things that Filipinos fought for with their lives are things that are worth thinking about. You have to consider and then reconsider if what you are doing is something that would give you happiness in the long run or just a passing trend or something like that.

Traditional Filipinas are not like this. They love who they are and acknowledging the fact that whatever they do they would still be who they are at the end of the day. These Filipinas are very proud of themselves and they do not have issues or insecurities.

Filipino women are already very beautiful in their own little ways. They have their own charm that men from other countries easily fall in love with and the Filipinas’ personality is also something that would really make all their future husbands the happiest people in the world.
